About Chef Charles Turner
Chef Charles Turner began his culinary journey in 1989 as a line cook at El Molino Italiano Restaurant in Condado, Puerto Rico. Over the following decades, his career flourished through roles at prestigious establishments including the Westin Rio Mar Hotel, El San Juan Hotel & Casino, and El Conquistador Resort & Casino.
His expertise and passion led him to serve as Executive Chef at several renowned venues such as Soleil Beach Club, La Tasca del Callejon in Old San Juan, El Mofongo Bar and Grill, and Uvva Restaurant Hosteria Del Mar in Ocean Park. Beyond these achievements, Chef Charles has worked as a private chef, taught as a culinary professor at Universidad Del Este for six years, and now co-owns Brasa Latina Restaurant in Lakeland, Florida, where he also serves as chef.

Chef Charles’s cuisine blends Puerto Rican culinary traditions with international flavors, creating a distinctive fusion style. His dedication to innovation is reflected in his participation in numerous culinary competitions and his commitment to mastering new techniques.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Management with a minor in Food & Beverage Administration from Universidad Del Este and is an active member of the American Culinary Federation.
